Banana Caramel Crunch (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 4-6 bananas, cut in half down the middle
02 - 397 g can of sweet caramel sauce

→ Crumble Topping

03 - 180 g all-purpose flour
04 - 90 g cold butter, diced small
05 - 60 g golden brown sugar
06 - 0.25 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven running at 180°C/350°F first thing.
02 - Cut your bananas into even chunks and stack them in two layers across your dish bottom for better taste.
03 - Drizzle caramel all over your banana pieces, making sure the top is nice and flat for the crumble.
04 - Chuck flour, brown sugar and nutmeg into a big bowl. Drop in the butter bits and use your fingers to rub everything until it looks like breadcrumbs.
05 - Sprinkle your crumbly mix right to the edges of the dish, covering all the caramel underneath.
06 - Pop it in your hot oven for about 25-30 minutes until the top turns golden and you see bubbly caramel at the sides.
07 - Take it out and let it sit for 5 minutes so nobody gets burned by the super hot caramel inside.

# Notes:

01 - You can chop the bananas into coins instead of long strips if you want.
02 - Don't skip the cooling time - that caramel gets crazy hot and can really hurt!
