Stir together chicken stock, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and cornflour in a mixing bowl. Keep mixing until smooth with no lumps.

Drop the broccoli into boiling water for 2 minutes. Once the color pops, move it to a bowl of cold water to cool. Let it drain thoroughly afterward.

Crank up the heat on a wok or large pan. Pour in the oil. Toss in the chicken strips and cook them for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring the whole time, until they’re golden and fully done.

Toss in the garlic and ginger with the cooked chicken. Keep stirring for about 30 seconds until you can smell the aroma.

Add the prepared broccoli into the hot wok. Pour the sauce over everything, stirring constantly. Let it cook until the sauce thickens, which should take 2-3 minutes.
