Cheese Garlic Flaky Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Biscuit Dough

01 - 2 cups regular flour
02 - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
04 - 2 teaspoons garlic powder
05 - ½ teaspoon sea salt
06 - ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (skip if you want)
07 - 1 cup buttermilk
08 - ½ cup melted unsalted butter
09 - 1 ½ cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

→ Garlic Butter Topping

10 - 3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
11 - 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
12 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven hot at 450°F (230°C). Put parchment paper or a silicone mat on your baking tray.
02 - Grab a big bowl and mix your flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt and cayenne if you're using it.
03 - Take a measuring cup or another bowl and stir together your buttermilk and melted butter. Pour this wet mix into your dry ingredients and stir with a spatula until just wet.
04 - Carefully add the grated cheese and fold it in until it's spread throughout the dough.
05 - Sprinkle some flour on your counter and knead the dough 3-4 times until it sticks together. Roll it out to about 1¼-inch thickness. Use a 2½-inch cutter to make 10-12 round biscuits.
06 - Put your biscuits on the ready baking sheet and cook for 10-12 minutes until they turn golden.
07 - While they're cooking, mix the melted butter, parsley and garlic powder in a small bowl.
08 - Once biscuits come out, brush each hot one with your garlic butter mix.
09 - Eat them right away while they're still warm.

# Notes:

01 - They taste way better fresh out of the oven when they're still warm.
02 - Don't mix or knead too much if you want them to rise nicely.
