Cream Strawberry French Toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread & Dairy

01 - 1 (16-ounce) loaf of cubed brioche bread
02 - 1 (8-ounce) block of cream cheese, cut into cubes
03 - 2 cups full-fat milk

→ Fruit

04 - 1 pound chopped fresh strawberries, split in half for different uses

→ Eggs & Sweeteners

05 - 12 large eggs, whisked together
06 - ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
07 - 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

→ Flavorings

08 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
09 - ½ teaspoon kitchen salt

# Instructions:

01 - Spray a 9×13 baking dish lightly with non-stick coating. Spread a foundation of bread cubes across the dish bottom. Scatter cream cheese chunks and half your strawberries on top. Finish with the rest of the bread cubes to fully cover everything underneath.
02 - Grab a big measuring cup or bowl and beat together your eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla and salt until well combined. Pour this mixture all over the bread until everything's soaked. Cover the dish and stick it in the fridge for at least 2 hours or leave it overnight.
03 - Turn your oven on to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Take the dish out of the fridge and let it sit on the counter for about 30 minutes.
04 - Put the dish in the oven with its cover on for 30 minutes. Then take off the cover and keep baking another 25-30 minutes until it turns golden on top and feels firm in the middle.
05 - Bring it straight to the table, topped with your leftover strawberries and a light dusting of powdered sugar.

# Notes:

01 - Slightly stale brioche works better since it soaks up the egg mixture without getting mushy
02 - You can get everything ready the night before for an easy morning meal
