01 -
Slice fresh mozzarella into uniform sticks approximately 7-10 cm long. Arrange on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes to ensure firmness prior to breading.
02 -
In three shallow bowls: place flour in the first; whisk eggs until smooth in the second; and in the third, mix bread crumbs with garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese.
03 -
Remove mozzarella from the freezer. Coat each stick evenly in flour, tapping off excess, then dip into the egg wash, and finally dredge in the bread crumb mixture—pressing gently so crumbs adhere. Repeat for all sticks.
04 -
For extra crispiness, repeat the egg wash and bread crumb steps for a second coating on each stick.
05 -
Heat 5 cm of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat until the temperature reaches 175°C. Fry mozzarella sticks in batches for 2–3 minutes each, or until golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
06 -
Remove fried sticks using a slotted spoon and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
07 -
Serve the mozzarella sticks hot alongside marinara sauce for dipping.
