Nutella Fried Bread Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Flapjack mix

01 - 375ml regular milk
02 - 1 tbsp lemon juice or white vinegar
03 - 500g all-purpose flour
04 - 1 tsp baking powder
05 - ½ tsp sodium bicarbonate
06 - 55g fine sugar
07 - 60ml cooking oil
08 - 125ml steaming water

→ Bread part

09 - 10-12 pieces plain bread
10 - 2 tbsp milk (for wetting)
11 - Chocolate hazelnut spread for inside

→ Sweet spice dusting

12 - 165g fine sugar
13 - 1 tsp powdered cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - Mix milk with lemon juice in a cup. Let it sit 5-10 minutes until it thickens a bit.
02 - Grab a big bowl and stir flour, baking powder, sodium bicarbonate, and sugar together really well.
03 - Pour in your sour milk, cooking oil, and hot water. Stir until everything's smooth with no lumps.
04 - Start heating your oil in a deep cooking pot over medium flame.
05 - Get two bread slices and dab one side of each with milk. Then squash them flat with your rolling pin.
06 - Put some chocolate spread in the middle of one slice, then top with the other slice (wet sides out). Push the edges tight.
07 - Use a shape cutter or just a knife to trim your sandwich how you want it. Make sure the edges stick together.
08 - Soak your bread packet in the pancake mix, letting extra drip away.
09 - Drop your coated sandwich carefully into hot oil and cook about 2 minutes till golden. Flip and cook another minute till even.
10 - While they're cooking, stir sugar and cinnamon together in a flat dish.
11 - When still hot, roll each fried sandwich in your cinnamon sugar mix until covered all over.
12 - Put on plates and eat while they're still warm.

# Notes:

01 - Your oil should be around 175°C/350°F for best results - too hot and your treats will burn, too cool and they'll soak up way too much grease.
02 - If you want something less sweet, just skip rolling them in the cinnamon sugar.
