Get your oven hot at 350°F (175°C).

Beat eggs with milk, salt, and pepper in a big bowl until everything's mixed well.

Oil up a 9×13-inch baking dish so nothing sticks to it.

Put bread chunks across the bottom of the dish. Add your cooked sausage (or ham), sprinkle cheese, green onions, and bell peppers on top if you're using them.

Dump the egg mix over everything and push down gently so the bread soaks up the liquid.

Wrap the dish with foil and stick it in the oven for 25 minutes.

Take off the foil and cook another 10 minutes until eggs aren't runny and the top looks golden.

Let it sit for 5 minutes before you cut it up and dig in.
