Heat up cooking oil in your big pan over medium-high flame. Once the oil starts to shimmer, toss in broccoli and flip around often for 3-4 minutes until it turns bright green but stays a bit crunchy. Move it to a plate and put aside.
02 -
Throw ground beef and garlic into the same pan. Let it cook about 5-6 minutes till mostly done, breaking chunks apart as you go. Get rid of extra fat by draining or soaking it up with paper towels.
03 -
While meat cooks, stir together reduced-salt soy sauce, dark sugar, nutty sesame oil, powdered ginger, chili flakes and black pepper in a small container. Stir until everything blends well.
04 -
Right after your beef is cooked, pour the sauce mix in. Cook another 2-3 minutes just until it gets a bit thicker. Add the broccoli back and mix everything together. Add salt if needed, and dish up right away over rice or noodles. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top if you'd like.
