Effortless Low Carb Bacon Asparagus (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
02 - 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
03 - Freshly ground black pepper, amount to taste
04 - A pinch of salt, add as desired
05 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil
06 - 8-10 slices of thick bacon, uncooked
07 - 1 pound of asparagus, trim the woody ends

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and get a baking tray ready by lining it with parchment paper.
02 - Pour olive oil over the bundles so they're coated, then sprinkle a pinch of black pepper and salt on top.
03 - Take 3-4 spears of asparagus and wrap a strip of bacon snugly around the middle. Repeat until you've used up everything.
04 - Lay each bacon-wrapped asparagus bundle onto your prepared tray, spacing them out so they don't touch.
05 - Place the tray in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye out for the bacon turning crispy and the asparagus getting tender. Thicker bacon might take longer.
06 - Scatter a little garlic powder and freshly grated Parmesan on the bundles just before serving for an extra kick.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure the asparagus spears are all the same size for an even cook and to make them look nicer.
02 - Double-check that your bacon doesn’t have hidden sugar if you're following a keto plan strictly.
03 - If you're short on time, you can lightly cook the bacon beforehand, cutting down the oven time.
